Every 6 weeks or so we have a Breakfast Church over at the Cafe. The kids and adults from the local community come to join us for a service and some breakfast, cooked by Jed, David, Nicola and Dorothy. We sing songs, play games, watch hi-techie things on the big screen (Go David!) and hear a message. Everyone really enjoys it, so much so that they keep coming back for more!

In February we said a “Farewell” to our longest serving member, Janet McVicar. Janet moved to Bourtreehill through her work as the Superintendent of District Nursing for North Ayrshire in 1977. She has been part of the church ever since then, serving as church treasurer for a time and remaining active up to the present. She has been a faithful supporter of the church’s prayer group right up to moving on, even though she is now almost 87!

She has now moved to Auchlochan Care Home near Lesmahagow to be with her sister and sister-in-law who both already live there. She will be much missed, but remains part of our church family and will be visited regularly.

David and Nicola have been members of BBBC for a while now and Nicola has been part of the church since she was 7. They were married in BBBC on the 31st of July 2004 and had their reception in the Montgreenan Mansion House Hotel in Kilwinning. It was a lovely summer day and everyone who attended enjoyed themselves.
